On April 21, 2025, the cheerful voices and bright smiles of TK President students lit up the Kartini Day Ceremony held at SMP President Field, as they joined peers from SD President and SMP President in commemorating the life and legacy of Raden Ajeng Kartini — Indonesia’s national heroine and pioneer of women’s rights.
The theme of this year’s celebration, “Kartini: A Woman Who Fought for Freedom in Education and Work,” served as a powerful message even for our youngest learners. Through their participation in the formal flag-raising ceremony and the lively marching band performance by SD President, TK President students began to understand the importance of equality, education, and courage — values deeply rooted in Kartini’s story.
The event, led by Ms. Rismauli Saragi, a teacher from SMP President, was more than just a ceremonial tradition. It became an opportunity for early childhood education to connect with Indonesia’s rich history and national identity.
At TK President, we believe it’s never too early to introduce children to the heroes who shaped our nation. By involving them in school-wide events like this, we plant the seeds of respect, unity, and empowerment — nurturing confident children who will grow into thoughtful leaders.
